What is a Group?

Infoyana Groups are designed to be fun, intuitive and easy to use.

Create groups for your club, colleges, sales team, NGOs, church members, band, businesses or hobbies. Share discussions, photos and even files with group members. Let's group and experience the difference.

With our Group management software you can manage your groups systematically. Make announcements, discuss and share your opinions, live chat, upload files and even share photos. Notify your friends or group members when you post new announcements by Instant Messaging or by Email.

 

 

How to create a group?

Creating a new group is as easy as ABC

1. Click Create Group.
2. Name your group and select your Group setting : Public or Private.
3. Once you fill in the form, and pressed OK, your group will be created according to your settings.

Creator of the group automatically become the Group Administrator.

 

 

What is Public Group and Private Group?

When Infoyana designed its groups features, our designers asked themselves what do users need? We know that different people, different organizations have different needs. Thus, we created the 2 main group types : Public Groups and Private Groups.

Public Group:

If you need a group to share and discuss events or issues, opinions, products, fan clubs, or dissemination of information to the general public. Creating a public group is the right choice. If you don't have a website, creating a public group will provide your the web presence that will allow you to share information with your customers and the general public.

When people post to your public groups, Infoyana will notify you, via Instant Messanger or email, of the new postings so that you can respond accordingly.

When you make announcements, Infoyana will notify all people that have posted to your public groups via Instant Messanger or email.

Anybody can become member of your group. Everybody can see your group postings, information or download any file attachment from your public groups.

If you are a user, participate in as many public groups as you wish. Think of it as a public forum for comments and sharing. You can even post a question if you want to. Group knowledge is the future of sharing on the Internet.

Private Group:

If you are looking for a private area for your group - like Private clubs, NGOs, sales team, football club, hobbies or people with similar interests etc . . . then private group is the right place for you to host it.

To become a member one must request to join the group. The Group Administrator can accept or reject membership applications. Only members can view postings, discuss, share files and photos in private group.

You can even arrange for outtings, seminars or even weddings using Infoyana Dates & Events apps. Members can read the description of your events and sign up online. As the Group Administrator, you can print out the sign-up list on the day of the event and use it as the attendance list.

Notification in Groups

Infoyana Notification apps is available in all 3 group type. When your group members post a comment or discussions, Infoyana will notify you, via Instant Messenger or email, of the new postings so that you can respond accordingly. All members will also be informed of the new postings

Similarly, when you make announcements, Infoyana will notify your group members via Instant Messenger or email.

Groups - The Basics

How do I join a group?

1. Click Group List.Browse for the the group that you would like to join.
2. Click the Join Group button located beside the group you want to join..

You can join any public groups - there is no limitation. There are 2 ways to join public groups - by clicking the Join Group button or post a comment or article in the group that you are interested to join.

If you are joining a Private Group, you have to wait for the Group Admin to accept your request.

 

How do I leave a group ?

1. Click My Group.
2. Click Leave Group beside the group you want to leave.

 

What is My Groups ?

My Groups list all the groups you have joined.

 

What is Group List ?

Group List shows all the available groups in Infoyana.
You can also search for groups here.

 

How to manage my group ?

To manage a group, you must be the admin of the group. Follow these steps to

1. Click My Groups.
2. Click the group you want to manage.
3. In your group page, click Manage
4. Click the portion you want to manage. You can edit group profile, manage members, change theme or edit theme.

 

Notify members on new announcements

Infoyana will notify all members when you create an announcement. Members will be alerted either by instant messenger or email.
